Welcome to the new website. Things have been, well, insanely busy lately, and we've been juggling several different priorities with deference given, of course, to our clients. Things have finally settled into place now, with our newest staff trained and ready to tackle our application work with gusto.
We've been really busy on the Meld application side of things, too. Recent changes in Mura, the maturing of FW/1 and some cutting edge exploration of the best way to integrate complex applications into Mura have slowed things down release-wise from where we had hoped, but always towards the goal of providing the best, most stable foundation for us (and others) to grow from. The guys from Blue River have given us good advice, though ... Sean: get it out there!, Matt: if it doesn't exist, nobody's going to use it! ... which might seem obvious, but really gets to the core difference between "Vaporware" and a real application.
Our first release, now, is going to be Meld Forums. MF already exists in commercial form (http://meldforums.com), but MFv2 will be an Open Source application released under a dual-license offering. The first, and I imagine most popular, license will be a GPL2 "with exceptions" that is identical to Mura's. The second will be a commercial license, allowing organizations to use Forums without having to worry about GPL conflicts. The dual-license approach matches Mura, removing the complexity of mixing Mura and Meld applications.
Meld Ecommerce is most definitely on the way as well. We chose to develop Meld Forums first because it allowed us to solve integration and development issues much more quickly, and because the bulk of Meld Forums already exists. Ecommerce will be a very powerful (and I'm sure welcome) addition to the Mura ecosphere.
We'll also be blogging and posting information on a much more regular basis, now that our infrastructure has settled down to a more organized and manageable level.
In closing, I'll point out that we now have our discussion forums up, so any suggestions or questions you have about what we are working on are welcome!
